Well, we are doing great! There really isn’t much for us to buy aside from groceries and gas. My husband’s prescription will fall into our next paycheck, so that saves $20. And the fish food… the fish have enough until next pay period. So that is another $20 saved. However, we did spend $15.56 (yesterday) on Mustard, Ice (daughter’s school function), and small miscellaneous items.
We are still $24 and some change above our goal. Actually, until tomorrow at midnight.
Oh, I didn’t mention that the fish tank light bulb went out and my fish are in the dark more than usual (they are now set only by daylight). LOL. But, they are doin’ just fine and can wait until I get the fish food this weekend. π
I’m impressed! Great job!!
i agree. this is impressive!
@ Sharon: Thanks. I think a week at a time is manageable, but a month… lol. I think I can manage every other week. We will be doing this again in 2 weeks. π
@ dinah: Thanks! I did have to spend another $8 for my DH’s function (I swear I was beginning to feel like I was funding this thing). But, it’s summer vacation… so I guess it’s all right.
I’ll give you the total savings Friday. π
good job – keep it up!!!
I’m way impressed. Love the line about keeping the fish in the dark! π
@ jpkittie: Thanks@ Less than 24 hours to go. π
@ April: Yes, a week… doable. A month… I think I would have a hard time. And the fish are still good.
