Tis the Season to be happy! fala la la laaaa…

Our company decided to do the annual evaluations a month early. So, I got my good news as a Christmas present: a 3.85% increase in my salary!

Was suppose to be 4%, but minor budget cuts didn’t allow my grateful boss to give the full. But who’s complaining?

But Murphy’s Law had to attach itself to the day. I also received the first bill for my Student Loan repayment. LOL!

Have a great weekend!

@ dinah34: thank you. Least I can say I have the money to pay the student loan bill and do not need to scrimp somewhere else! πŸ™‚

@ budget mama: TY! I made the normal Christmas dinner and tried this yummy sweet potato casserole. Really simple and really worth making! Tri tip sounds yummy. Can’t wait to hear how it turned out!

@ sharon rose: TY! Have a great weekend, too. Hope you are feeling better just in time to celebrate Christmas!

@ jpkittie: Thanks! At least I do have the money to pay it, now. And I hope to hear that the other two checks come for you real soon!

@ shtinkykat: TY! I do. One, it does cover my student loan payment. Two, I plan on using the money strictly to pay down debt. I am determined to eliminate that darn debt! πŸ˜‰

@ Ms. MoneyChat: Thank you! I am quite happy with it. lol! I am liking the new company policy of a month early.

Plus, it also means that in the 5 years I have worked here, I have increased my salary by 2.5 times the original starting salary.

To all: Thank you for the Cheer! And hope you are having a great weekend!

Congrats on the 3.85% increase in pay. My company won’t be doing any raises for a while, but I’m just happy to still have a job.

@ 1 Man’s Money: The downward effects of the economy are terrible. I count my blessings I have my job and its raises.

I wish you the same blessings, as I know you are facing some obstacles.

@ we like money: thanks for visiting. ya, even i got nicked in the raise cuz of budget cuts, but I am not complaining!
