I started thinking that we are in the right direction by physically tracking our PF journey. With our goals, spreadsheets, calculators, and blogging in a great community. But, are we mentally ready to take on this journey?
Sometimes our personal journeys take us on a whirlwind of emotions. Whether your journey is paying down your debt, raising a family, nesting for a new child, buying a first house, taking on a new job, facing hardship, etc…
It can carry a range of emotions like:
Being of sound mind is just as important as having our materialistic tools. We rely on ourselves when a financial hardship faces us like not meeting a debt payment on time. We rely on ourselves when we need to call the Credit Card companies to renegotiate our APR. We rely on ourselves to make sure all our bills do get paid on time. All these things that we rely on ourselves for takes precious time and energy. Who is going to take care of you?
