Lots of good stuff on my plan this week, jacket potatoes, chicken & veg.. fish & rice and the low shopping bill that went with it! Enjoy your week!

I was craving fish… but there wasn’t anything good on sale. :( Maybe next week! :)

Your menu sounds great. I am going to have to check out jacket potatoes.

I don’t know how often you go east, but if you can combine an errand with a trip to 99 Ranch in Chino Hills, you should be able to get much better fish prices than you would at regular supermarkets. And you can get them to clean them, sometimes fillet? (I’ve never asked for a filleting there but it’s worth a try) so that you can buy extra and freeze for later!

My favorite recipes use chicken or fish, so I try to keep an eye out for the best prices on those items.

You know, I’ve been trying to get to that 99 ranch market forever! I don’t live that far from it, but just haven’t made the drive. Thanks for the reminder.

I’ve been meaning to take my son because they have the Milk Tea that he loves. Plus my oriental friends are always bringing cool stuff back from there.

Looks like a pretty awesome meal plan!

I don’t do this yet, but have been thinking about it. My roomates meal plan, but it doesn’t seem like they have much fun with it; or flexibility

And its been really yummy, so far.

Why would they not have much fun? I think its a stress saver knowing what I need to cook or am going to have each day. Plus, it really is a money saver when you plan your meals. Both at the grocery store and not eating out.

Try it. I am flexible in the fact that if I don’t crave Tuesday’s meal, I can switch it with Thursday. :)

Let me tell you…those pulled pork sandwiches with the string onions…Superb! Love the cayenne pepper in the string onions. Totally makes the meal.

Of course, you’re more than welcome to come over for dinner. ;)
