Food Budget Spent: $92 @ grocery store
We have decided that we can spend $150 per week for our food budget (or $600 month). This is much better than $1200 a month!
Night out: $40
Yes, we took out an extra $20. But we had so much fun. DH and I… No kids for the night. It was like the times when we were dating. We were able to reconnect and it was really cool. And worth the extra $20. So, we will add the $40 to the food budget.
Total Food Budget Spent: $132
Leaving us: $18
I think the only thing I forgot to pick up was olives. So, I will add the $18 to next week’s food budget.
oooh sounds yummy!!!!
And it taste just as yummy. Sometimes though, It tends to be too much meat for me. So to VEG it out I’ll have meatless tacos filled with spicy lentils or refried beans; Rigatoni w/ out the meat sauce – I’ll opt for some fresh diced tomatoes marinated in organo, basil & olive oil; or when the DH has steak – I will eat just the baked potato and a salad. I’m the leaf eater and he’s the carnivore. π
I think you did GREAT for a week’s budget. And I LOVE your menu…I want to try out the crescent chicken squares!
My son made sure I bought ingredients to make extra chicken squares. lol. And the rigatoni…just sounded really good. Had to copy. π
I think we did pretty good. And we are not going completely cold turkey…so, it makes it a bit easier on everyone.
