I get an organic box of veggies delivered to my door every Wed. I love supporting local businesses and farmers.

Sounds like a delicious menu!<br

And it seems canning is pretty easy. I think that I will start Tomatoes and Jelly. Seems like the beginner's choice.
I hate wasting produce. And it tends to happen because I can't use it all at once. So, I am starting to test things out in the freezer to see if it will hold and retain its flavor. Can't wait to see what else I learn to freeze! :)
I've never heard of rhubarb bread. Sounds yummy though. The only rhubarb I've really tried is when I go to Knott's Berry Farm for their famous chicken dinner (It's delicious!).
@ Sharon: I can't wait to make it. It definitely still on my agenda. I will be sure to virtually share some with you. :)
@ 1MansMoney: I am glad to hear its not too much more expensive. That is a definite concern of mine. But, I do know that what few organic veggies I have harvested from my wee teenie garden does taste soooo much better. So, I can imagine that all the organic produce has to be scrumptious! Yeah, for the wife!
It's funny... cuz lately I have become acutely curious about everything I feed myself and my family. Why do I want to eat pesticides? I guess I am just starting to open my eyes to farming processes.

@ April: Its one thing to read it and its another to live it. lol! Our local Farmers Market opened this Saturday past. And at one stand? Rhubarb! I made rhubarb bread (wonderful stuff) with some of it and froze the rest for later. YUM!

Farm to Table IS a lifestyle. I like your simple steps. When you get to that point of the year, canning is easier than you may think.
