And yes, I believe in keeping it personal, too. That is the enjoyable part. To have a friend lend a kind word when your down, when someone accomplishes a great financial or non-financial step up (like your great book that is coming out – I’m so excited!). Thank you for your feedback!

But anyways, I like it here but what I really LOVE is that is personal. I think once you start doing a day for this, a day for that, it becomes too formatted and I think a lot of people like to read blogs because they want to connect with the writer … not a format.

I also miss a front yard, and a garden, and privacy (the walls are like shoji screens). It was fun while it lasted, but it’s definitely time to move on.

I’ve had many themes, but like to tweak the style when something is off and then I tweak it some more and before you know it… it is a completely different design. Ask Musings of a Midlife Mom, she’ll probably laugh about it. At one time is used to be a tiki theme. Actually it was pretty cool. Don’t know why I didn’t keep it (cuz I worked hard on it). LOL

I am glad to hear you associate with me. And again, glad to hear that my personality is coming through on this blog.

So leave the visuals I have as-is. If I don’t add an icon logo with the title, I am at least going to add a new favicon (the little picture next to the URL). And no scheduled posting, in a way I kind of like this because it leaves me to posting what is on my mind for that day.

Good luck with your move and selling. From an artist studio to a house, huh? You know, I’ve always wanted to live in a loft in some swanky college town. My friend used to have an artist loft where the kids rode their bikes around. I thought it was so cool. Do you think you will miss your artist studio? Are you going to designate a room in your house for your art?

BTW, Two cents is very valuable. Spunk. That is funny you say that because I would not have pictured that of me. But I am really glad to hear that because it is what I hope to construe.

And I love your idea for a logo. I wasn’t sure if I was really getting the ‘me’ personality in my blog post, but I guess it is because your logo depicts ‘me’ perfectly. I’ll admit through trial and error, I will post with a more passive voice hoping to gain a wider audience. But that is not so good for two reasons – one, you can’t make everyone like you or make them happy – two, a person needs to create their own niche and voice.

Yeah, glad to hear that the blogroll is user friendly. I know it was a definite enhancement in my PF journey to reach to people that were going through stuff. It’s a great support system for when you need help to stay focused.

Like the new look (can’t even remember the old).

Personally, I like reading random things at random times. I wouldn’t be that interested in scheduled weekly topics. I like reading personal finance blogs for the personal inspiration and to see how others are dealing with their own debt journeys. Oh, and I don’t care so much about the cute icons and photos. It’s certainly your personality and I’ve learned to associate with you, but I don’t necessarily need them (which is funny, since I’m a visual artist).

And third, why yes, you are missing a PF blog: MINE! Feel free to add me to your blogroll (you’re already on mine).

Here’s my two cents (probably not even worth that much )…

The first word I think of is personality. I like your blog b/c it’s got a lot of SPUNK to it. I think your personality really shines through in your posts and that’s important. You don’t simply regurgitate (sp?) personal finance stuff, you are witty and well, spunky!

I don’t usually picture an image but I guess if I did, maybe it’d be a dollar sign with spikes or something to make the image more bad ass. A spunky dollar sign- is that possible? lol

I also think that your blogroll is an extremely important part of your blog. Before I ever even found your blog, I found your blogroll and used that to begin reading others’ blogs. When people start focusing on their money/finances/simple living, they want to find other people who share in those same interests… at least for me, I typed in “personal finance blog” into a search or something crazy and a gazillion sites come up, but one of the best and easiest to use is your blogroll. Because of this, I think any time/energy you spend in this section of your blog making it better is time well spent!
