So, what do you do with a bushel of fruit waiting to be used? Why, you make a Betty with it! This is good with any fruit. Thus, it is an all seasonal recipe. That’s what makes it so great! And its simple. Very simple.
Any-type Fruit Betty
In this case, An Apple Betty
3-5 Lg Granny Smith Apples
1/3 C sugar
1/4 C margerine, soft
1/3 C AP flour
1/3 C Brown Sugar
3/4 C oats
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place fruit in the bottom of a 9-inch square baking pan and sprinkle sugar over fruit.
In a medium bowl blend together the margarine, flour, brown sugar and oats, until it resembles a coarse meal.Sprinkle over the fruit.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve hot.
VARIATION: May use other berries or fruit of your choice.
